Mitchell Harris

Mitchell was appointed to the FNZ Group Board in May 2024.
Mitchell has spent 41 years in the Finance Industry primarily focused on Asset Management and Private Banking. His first 14 years were with Citibank, the last 6 years being in Private Banking in London, Heading the Private Bank in Jersey, CI and finally, as Head of the Private Bank in Frankfurt, Germany.
After Citibank, Mitchell returned to London to become Managing Director of a start-up Currency Overlay Manager, Pareto Partners. This business grew to $50B Aum’s over 11 years before selling it to Mellon Bank.
After 18 years abroad Mitchell relocated to Boston to became CEO of Mellon’s affiliate, Standish a $130B AUM fixed income manager, then with the merger of BNY and Mellon, oversaw all of the fixed income, cash and currency businesses. In 2011, he moved to NYC to became President of Asset & Wealth Management and in 2016 became CEO. This business was a multi affiliate business with 15 affiliates, $1.9T in Aum’s, 5,000 employees and a pre-tax profit exceeding $1B.
Mitchell retired toward the end of 2020 and has since joined the Boards of HarbourVest, Chair of Oddo BHF London Ltd and is a Trustee of Colby Sawyer College in New London, NH.
