Stephen Welch

Stephen Welch was appointed Group Chair in July 2026 and was subsequently appointed Executive Group Chair and Interim Group CEO in September 2026.

He brings decades of experience working with the boards and leadership teams of regulated financial services businesses, with a strong track record of driving growth, operational improvement and strategic transformation.

Stephen works closely with the FNZ Board and executive team to support the Group’s strategy, transformation agenda and long-term growth ambitions.
